I did a search and could not find an answer, I hope this is not a duplicate.

I bought a brand new Kioti DK4210SE a couple of months ago. Up until now, I love it, but have concerns now. One reason I got it was the supposedly top tier service Kioti gives.
I have a couple of questions that came up as they do after operating it a bit. So I called the support number in NC. It went into an automated system, with no option for Tech Support, Customer Service ect. The only option was to spell someone's name. I have no idea who to ask for. The service tech at my dealer was out for a few days so I decided to try them directly. I would have liked to talk with someone on the phone while I was looking at the tractor, but my only option not knowing a name was to fill out a request online and wait for a response in 1 to 2 business days?

Am I missing something here?

Thanks
Mike

First I have ever heard of such a claim.

Most common advice on TBN is 'shop for a dealer, not a brand'. No manufacturer I have heard of gives good service, but some dealers do. Kioti is not recognized as being better then others (corporate).

This my opinion, not gospel.

Thank you.

I like my dealer, they are small but give great service my tech was out for a few days, I get it we all need a break. I was just surprised I was unable to get anyone on the phone. I did not expect dealer level service, but I expected better. I not sure my info on "great service" was really quantifiable, dealers I spoke with who carries multiple lines said they had great service from Kioti.

I've never heard of any manufacturer (for any type of vehicle) who provide support directly with the end users, that's what their dealer network is for.

That having been said, one thing I've found that works with autoattendants that don't have an option that seems like what you want is to keep hitting 0 on the phone. Do it enough times and most will switch your call to an operator/receptionist.

G'day Mate and welcome to TBN from Downunder.

In a way, you've now found a lot of support for your Kioti just by joining TBN. There are heaps of "Similar Threads" (listed at the bottom of every page), The 'Google Search' option at the top or simply starting a new thread/question of your own.

Enjoy the site.

Last September when was having issues with my Kioti tractor, I sent and email to Kioti. When I got home from work I had a message from a guy at Kioti in NC to call him if I have any issues with getting my problem fixed. I have also spoken with a lady there a few times about warranty and such. I never got stuck with not being able to speak with anyone.

My dealer gave me the number to Kioti tech line and got his hand smacked for it. From what I gather, the tech at Kioti made it clear they were there to support the dealers with questions/concerns....not customers. Don't have the personnel for it. I can see this, because if the dealer learns the answers to questions customers are asking, then they become the experts.

100% agree on shopping for a dealer here. I've got good ones here---one locally and one 2 hours away. I'd go back to either of them.

On a whim, I used the Kioti website to send a question about electronic workshop manuals....or lack thereof. Got a response very, quickly...like within 15 minutes. So, that would appear to be a valid support option. Dealer would be quicker though.

FYSA---the response I got indicated South Korea hasn't approved the release of a digital version of the workshop manuals for some reason. Probably concerned about the technology going overseas.

well lets just say that they have a pretty heavy learning curve to knock out a tractor if they dont even know how to use a document scanner ;-)

I call my dealer or text his cell phone. They are responsive and knowledgeable. Talking to him before my purchase strongly influenced my decision to buy Kioti. They service and see 100s of machines, they should know what's up. Let him talk to the manufacturer.
Unless you are out of warranty and wanting to do maintenance yourself good dealer/repair shop support is the way to go. I purchase my implements and other equipment through them, even if a little more, because the relationship benefits are worth it in the end.
