Kioti RX7320 Hood Latch / Release Mechanism

The hood latch/release mechanism isn't engaging. I.E. When I close the hood, the latch doesn't work to keep the hood closed. I've lubricated but the issue doesn't resolve. Advice?

I just bought a new rx7320 and had the same problem on delivery just a couple of days ago. There is a small rubber "bumper" where it latches that keeps the hood tight when latched. The guy delivering called the shop. They said remove that rubber piece. We did and it closes as it should. I haven't noticed any vibration. I have the rubber piece and am going to trim it down a little and pop it back in.
Maybe too simple of a fix for your problem.

On both my Kubota's the lower latch is adjustable, it's threaded on the underside with double nuts to hold position. Maybe yours is similar.

There is no rubber bumper on my RX7320. The (2) latches seem to work OK when I manually open and close them.

I'll check to determine if there is any adjustability to the latches.

Hood pin diameter was not machined small enough and latch isn't closing all the way. Reduce the sides and top of pin slightly and it will latch fine. At first it would hold partially closed but after a while it wouldn't hold any longer and now comes open. Grind the hood rod down just slightly on sides and to and it will close
