Checked relays with multi-meter put power to them and they checked out ok,but I tried switching them around anyway and it just cranks. Should I check the tube from tank to injectors? It just doesn't want to fire.
Sounds like the fuel solenoid is not opening. The fuel solenoid is mounted to the front of the Injection Pump case. It has a silver zinc finish when new, may be dulled up some by now. Put your hand on the solenoid and turn the key to the "on" position. You should hear and feel the solenoid "clap" open when the key is turned to on. If no "clap", no fuel. The engine will turn over forever but will never fire.

If your solenoid is not clapping, the next step is to check for voltage at the solenoid plug. 12v for one second at the pull could pin, 12v continuous at the hold coil pin. If both voltages are right, points to bad solenoid coil. If one of the 12 voltages described are missing, it will be a control issue (keyswitch, relay, timer relay, etc.).

Hope this helps

I would suspect the fuel shut off switch.

On a Diesel engine the only way to turn it off is to shut off either the air or the fuel. Normally there is a fuel shut off solenoid that stops the fuel when you turn off the key. I would check to see that when you turn on the key it is opening the fuel.

I'm not familiar with you Kioti, but I have had this issue driving truck in the past. On a steep grade, pulling doubles and the truck just died. I could start it and it would run just long enough to get me about 20' at a time with an occasional near wheelie in the tractor. Long story short, I did this enough times to get off the road, turned out to be the fuel shut off switch had failed.

Oops! Michiganiron beat me to it! Sorry, I didn't see your post. I have to learn to page to the end of a thread before I reply! but at least now you have a second opinion.

I tried the solenoid and it clicked, I thought for sure that was it. I took the fuel filter out and cleaned it, now I have to bleed it,but it just cranks. All I did was shut it off, unhooked loader attachment and tried to start and it just cranks. Gotta be something fuel related but I'm not a diesel mech.,but wish I was.

Just because the solenoid clicks doesn’t mean the control rack moved to the start position..
If it’s like most of the others, it screws into the side of the case that holds the inj. pump.??
REMOVE the solenoid..
now get a pocket screwdriver or pick and put it in the hole where the sol WAS..
Push on the control rack thru the blind hole & slowly release it.. do this several times until your satisfied that the rack IS OR ISN’T moving..
As long as u have the solenoid out, try to start the engine.. if it starts, u know u found “a” problem..
But u still don’t know if it’s the solenoid itself OR a relay that’s bad..
Good luck

Hopefully the following isn't your issue...

You say you removed the loader. Do you think you snagged any other wires when unhooking the hydraulic lines?

I didn't move the tractor from the loader after unhooking the hoses to loader, that's when I got back on and tried to start it. When I did test the sol,it clicked louder than normal, at least I think it did but then again the hood is open and I'm closer to it. I'll take it out and do what the pumpguy said, I'm not familiar with the rack your talking about so any info on that would be helpful. By the time I'm done maybe I will be a diesel mech. Thanks guys

Took off sol and pushed the armature in and out with little pressure. I put a small drift pin in the blind hole and I didn't feel anything move,it seemed to just go into the same hole as the sol arm. Anyhow I tried to start tractor without the sol installed with the same result. Reinstalled the sol and tried again, nothing. I'm charging the battery now,too much cranking. Should I feel something moving in that blind hole, all I did was push the drift pin in and out but I didn't push too hard.

U don’t need to push hard..
Visualize what the plunger on the solenoid is doing..
It pushes on a part to shut the fuel off..
Then u apply voltage and it retracts into its housing, allowing the rack to go to start..
It doesn’t take much to move that rack..
Make sure the throttle is in wide open & check it again..
U should feel the control rack moving w your drift..
If nothing is moving, the rack is stuck in the no fuel position..
Do u have a pick w a 90* on one end.?? Or even a circle hook.??
Try to grab the rack and pull it..NOT TO HARD.!!
If u manage to get it free..push on it several times to make sure its free..
Now u can try to start it.
