Kioti Paint

All we need to do is take something with the different colors to an auto paint facility that has the computer for color matching and get the mix needed and post it and what the color names are...

I posted it in post 5, but I did not say that it was for sure that color, I just said another member MtViewRanch said he used it for Kioti to match his hydraulic cylinders he sells.. How close it matches I don't have a clue.. I check the tractor again when I got home to-nite, and it is definitely NOT black on all of the lower parts.. and they are all the same charcoal gray color, not some of them black and some gray like Island's

I went out and checked my 2011 DS3510 in direct sunlight. The Chassis frame and engine are a very dark gray. In poor light it looks black but in sunlight is gray.

I think Murphy and Coyote deserve the annual paint can award in honor of their important contributions to the field. The award, a can of Kioti spray paint other than orange and to be shared equally, will be awarded as soon as they can agree on what color.:laughing:

Kioti must now paint ALL their equipment light charcoal blackgreygray and be done with trying to look like an orange.

Make my skid plates Pink so they will match my tractor. I used to shoot paint for a living so paint color isn't new to me.

Some folks have said that Krylon Chevy Engine Paint is a pretty good match. I bought a couple cans of Rustoleum Engine Orange at Harbor Freight for $4.97 each and it appears to be pretty spot on. I bought a can on New Kioti Orange at the dealer and it was $15!!

I have found out that there are 2 kinds of Kioti Orange available. One is old and the other is a newer paint. I have a 2008 CK35 that needs some touch up. Does anyone know which one I should get? Also I have heard taht Chevy motor orange is good. Anyone ever try it?

So did we ever figure out the best color match for each Kioti orange? Apparently, my tractor was sold to the dealer in 2005. She sat for 3 years before being sold so that still makes her a 2005 in my book. :laughing: In any case the gentleman below this post said, "Yep - I bought RUSTOLEUM @ AutoZone (#248941) and it seems a near 'perfect' match" his tractor was an 07 if I remember right. Do we know where the cut off was from old to new Kioti orange? My loader is brand new and it does look just a tad different in color, maybe I need to look again. Haven't seen it in the sun yet though. (For the reason please visit post CK30 Injection Pump. Yeeaaaaaaah Not cool.)

While she's down I'd like to paint my box scraper, orange and black. It's a Howse which is yellow now. I suppose if no one chimes in I'll go with the color mentioned... Orange and Black, yes black. Not Light Grey or light gray or Charcoal grey or charcoal gray. But black. This maybe useful to some... How do you spell the color Grey or Gray? Which is correct, "grey" or "gray" spelling? :laughing: :thumbsup:

P.S. My tractor is light gray. So if someone has that color, shoot me a note. Thx Much!

2008 is when the new Kioti paint came in. Yes Chev motor orange is sooo close. Tried it on my CK35
