I had 1995 Lk3054 went through two ignition switches. Silicone helped but contacts would corrode and struggled getting tractor started. Last switch packed key with dielectric grease. Also shrunk on shrink tubing entire ignition switch under dash. All issues went away. Factory starter motor had dead spot after 17 years. Purchased aftermarket starter with reduction gear option off of eBay. I believe it was Mondo it was robust but always found the tractor started faster with decompression knob out to allow starter to spin motor then tractor would start. Sold tractor at 1989 hours to neighbor he has had it now for three years no issues. He uses it daily to clean horse barn. Tough tractor for it’s time.New member here, same issue on Kioti LK3054: I have tried WD-40 in ignition switch, no effect. When I rap on starter with hammer, it catches and starts, runs well. My first assumption is a starter rebuild/replacement remedy, but guess I need some confirmation before replacing starter or other parts (neg. ground cable etc). Thots from you smarter folks please?
