I have a LK3054 with about 700 hours. The other day I put my foot on the clutch and I kept moving. Doesn't seem to engage the motion or the PTO. I checked the free play in the pedal and it seemed OK, but gave it a few more turns anyway but no difference.

Is there anything I can check or do without taking the whole thing apart? Seems like an week-long project that I don't have time for.

Even bought the Workshop Manual, but didn't see anything very helpful (sure a lot of typo's for $80, pretty drawings though:laughing:)

Any Info would be helpful.
Thanks

How long since you last used the tractor? If it's been a while, the clutch plate may have stuck to the flywheel and your pedal movement will not dis-engage the clutch plate. Sidle up to an imoveable object and see if you can break the clutch plate free.

Thanks Patches,
You're right, it has been over a month since I last used the tractor.
I'll give that a try and let you know what happened.

Well, I seemed to have fixed the problem, at least for now. I tried Patches' suggestion and drove up against to a stump (I knew I left them in for a reason  ) and throttled up. Something seems to have loosened up a little, but the clutch still didn't FULLY engage even all t he way down on the pedal.

So, I decided to tighten the linkage up a couple more turns to see what would happen. Well, it did make a difference, but still barely a fraction up on the clutch pedal and I started to move, so a few more turns on the linkage.

I finally got it adjusted to what seems right, and I probably put more than ten full turns tightening up the linkage. I'm not sure how it could have been so far out of adjustment and still worked up until a few days ago, unless I bent something under there, but I sure can't see anything out of alignment:confused3:.

Thanks for the info, hope it works well for a while longer.

PS: If anybody needs a page from the service manual (workshop manual) send me a private message and I'll try to help you out.
