Kioti K 2510 lower radiador hose heater.

I bought a Kat's 600 watt Lower radiator hose heater for my Kioti ck 2510. My question is that on the package it says several times not to install on a tractor without a water pump bypass. Does my Kioti have a bypass on the waterpump? It says the heater is universal and work on all Kubotas, Yanmars, masseys and all compact tractors. It does not say anything about Kioti tractors. I'm assuming it's ok to use but before I cut my lower radiador hose I wanted to ask you guys first. Thanks.

My dealer installs block heaters on every Kioti that he sells. I have one, but have never used it, mostly because my DK-40 stays in a radiant heated floor barn bay and only sees extreme cold when out plowing, etc. Personally I wouldn't install a radiator hose heater. If the block is warm the tractor should start. Do you store yours outside in winter?

I store it inside in a non heated barn. I heard good things about the inline heater on this site, that's why I bought one.

When we lived in Alaska - that's all I ever used to keep my vehicles warm - - lower radiator hose heater. I think the bypass is so the water you heat with the little heater will BYPASS the radiator and circulate just thru the engine. Otherwise - the radiator will do its job and most all the heat generated by the hose heater would be lost in the radiator before reaching the engine.

Can I ask what size you bought was it the 1.5 inch.

I put one on back in 2015 (on my 2014) cuz it lived outside. I had it on a timer. I can't remember which I bought but it was a little smaller than the ID of the rubber hose. Instead of sending it back I used it and tightened the hose clamps well. Seems to be OK. Now my tractor is out of the elements but in an unheated garage. Since we are getting snow I plugged it and the battery maintainer in last night.
