Call Jeff Brown, out of Nelsonville, OH (Brownies Tractors). He's a member here and an awesome dealer as well. I called him in 2005 when I thought I was ready to buy a new tractor but it didn't work out. He impressed me so much with his willingness to help I did end up buying from him in 2007 when I could finally afford new. Depending on where you are in SW PA he could be within a decent drive from you. When I last talked to him to get prices for a guy at work he had some pretty competitive prices so it may be worth your time to at least email him (he responds to email!). Good luck and enjoy the shopping, it's almost as fun as getting them dirty.

"I ALWAYS support my local dealer ASK them. There name is Michigan Iron & equipment located 70 miles from me.If I cannot make it to there store they come to my house to help or I order ALL of my parts from them. And if you ask me WarrenF has a major chip on his shoulder.I personally want to THANK my local dealer Michigan Iron & Equipment for being such a great sales and service dealer.coobie...."

That's great, coob, and it's a fine thing when both customer and dealer can have a relationship like that. I am glad for you. I wonder how many customers your dealer has peeved-off over the years because they felt they weren't getting the right $$$$$....? I'd bet there are more than you'd realize.

As for WarrenF, it sounds to me like he's simply tired of getting pounded on places like this for not "giving the good deal" to any and every swinging Richard that walks in/out of his place on a daily basis. The "good deal" is something different to each individual buyer.

I am reminded of the old story about the bird that gets buried in dog droppings who is then "rescued" by the cat............it's not always easy to tell your "friends" from your enemies.

Coobie, I'm not saying you're wrong. All I'm saying is that we aren't always 100% in the right either.

In all of my years in the business of taking care of the customer I've had people storm out on me hating my guts..........and others who would make cookies or pies and bring them to me as a show of thanks for what I was able to do for them. Ironically, for these two different types of customers, I was generally giving the same level of service and working by the same set of guidelines for each yet the end result could often be very different depending.

It's no different talking about tractors or implements or cars or widgets and I've learned to not call someone out because of a perceived "raw" deal on their part. They can just as easily and justifiably make the case that I was the unreasonable one and they just might be right.

It's a fine line when it comes to answering emails for quotes.
I answer every email. BUT with spam filters and such it's easy to lose an email and never know it.
I have answered alot of emails since getting a website.
If a customer emails and asked for a price on 5 different tractors I usually mail back to clarify a few things.
If I don't get a return mail from them, I let it go.
Too many dealers, normally not Kioti dealers, will email wanting to know "bottom dollar" prices, just for their own info.
Some dealers get pretty creative LOL
If you (you being a general term not aimed at anyone) wants a tractor price it's best to decide which tractor you are really interested in ask for a price on it.
Maybe mention that you'd accept more or less if a "deal" is available.
If you aren't sure about which size you need it is probably best to call.
Thank you for the good words Phil.

And all I'm saying is that at times the customer wants a steak at hamburger prices and when the dealer says "no"........that doesn't make them a money-grubbing ghoul.

It darned sure works both ways. There are bad dealers out there. Without doubt. BUT, there are sure enough a lot of bad "customers" out there that cost them both a lot money and we both wind up making up the difference. When that dealer that went out of his way to make a sale and accepted a money-losing offer just to get the deal.......guess who ultimately pays for it? You. Me. The next anonymous goob who wanders onto the lot.

It's not right or wrong.........it's simply life. And it's the very same dynamic that exists at every car dealership, grocery store, pharmacy, and flea market you'll run across.

I'm no dealer but I'd have to guess if I were that everything I sell has to be at 10-15% above invoice to pay the bills. I may be way off. But when JD/NH/AGCO says you pay X just to get Y
