Kioti CK35 HST pedal problem

CK35 HST with 400 light duty hours - I just received good help on this forum in regards to a battery problem and now I am back with a different one. The reverse side of the HST pedal will not move. The forward side is OK but reverse motion of the pedal arm appears to be locked up. I thought debris behind the arm was the issue but I have checked it thoroughly and that is not it. If I hold down with pretty good force the tractor will creep back but thats all. It is not just stiff. I have not done anything else and will wait to see what info I get here. I do not have a dealer nearby now so I really need help.

Is the treadle hitting the floorboard or side of slot in floorboard?

The pedal should have a mechanical connection to the HST. Check all the linkages and see if it's binding anywhere. If no linkages are binding up, then the problem is likely within the HST valve itself.

Problem solved - I finally connected all the dots and the solution was very simple. While working on the earlier problem the cruise control lever got in the way so I pulled up the lever setting the cruise control and did not remember to release it. This placed a block on the reward motion of the reverse pedal. The only good thing about this is that someone will find this post useful one of these days.

As simple of a fix that was - it is a true testament to how easily we can overlook just one simple point - thanks for revealing the issue - it could easily be an issue for so many - again - tks

Haha. Funny... I got caught yesterday. I repaired my joystick lever and then when I was testing it out I realized my rear hydraulics wouldn't work. Scratching my head wondering what I had done then found I had turned the hydraulic speed control inadvertently and shut them off. (red face)
