I have owned this tractor which I bought new for a couple of years. I am trying to do the 200hr service on it. I cannot for the life of me figure out how to open the air filter compartment. I am very ignorant of mechanical work but I am great at Googling! Yet, nowhere can I find the same type of air filter housing as my tractor. It has a yellow plastic clip that I don't know how to open; I've tried pulling, pushing, twisting, nothing works and I'm afraid to break it. Most of the videos online show easy to open latches. Anyone able to help me that has a clue of what I'm talking about? I would appreciate it greatly!
Yes that's it!! I did try pulling on it but not too hard cause I wasn't sure it was the right thing to do. I just went out again and pulled real hard towards the right side of the tractor and was able to open it! Unfortunately I was sold the wrong air filter so I'll have to order a new one, but it will be easy next time. Thank you so much for your help!

While it's in the closed position ( with the clip in )I marked a line across the housing and the cap to make it easier to line it back up for putting the cap back on and getting the clip in. I used a silver permanent marker but anything will work.
this is a great idea! I had difficulty closing it and it took me a while, this will definitely help.
