I would definitely NOT suggest that! He's claiming it's safe to DOUBLE the lift capacity ?!?!

It's easy to increase loader lift (adjusting hydraulic relief pressure... And I believe that Yanmar is spec'd at around 2060 PSI), and some dealers I've talked with, and read about, will say 10-20% above spec is ok. But to DOUBLE the lift capacity, he's gotta be boosting it by 30% or more. There's other considerations to think about, like the loader frame strength, front axle strength, etc

Relatively comparable. Yanmar will have a touch more PTO HP. But the Kioti loader will be much better. The Yanmar loader lifts 911 lbs to 79", the Kioti loader lifts 1155 to 92.5"

Thanks TSO. Another question. I mentioned that to the Yanmar guy and he said those specs are stated by the individual manufacturers and that he never sells a tractor without "tweaking the hydraulics" so the loader will lift 2000lbs. He swears this won't blow the pump or any hoses and will in no way damage the machine. Does that sound right to you? And if it IS right then why wouldn't Yanmar state higher specs for that tractor if it really is capable of it?

Tell him you will need that in writing on the purchase order. When he chokes on that, carefully check to make sure you still have your watch, wallet, and everything else you brought, and exit with all due haste. If Yanmar could safely lift 2000lbs with that tractor and still survive the warranty period, they would spec it that way. The market is too competitive not to do so.

My local Ford dealer lost me as a potential customer when they hired a BS'er like that as a salesman. I knew him from a previous business that he'd killed off, and his appearance there soured me on the dealership. Life's too short to deal with slimy people. I'd rather pay more than be lied to.

Well that's what I was thinking. If something sounds too good to be true... just can't imagine putting almost twice the stress on components that the company rates them for. He swears he's been doing it for years and never had one come back. I've read about it on here but never thought I'd hear a salesman say it out loud.

Quit your second guessing and get the Kioti. Better tractor, better specs.. The reason he won't budge on price is because he doesn't have to. He has the better spec'd tractor.

I would want that in writing both from the dealer and from Yanmar as when he gets sued and folds Yanmar will still need to stand behind the warranty because he wont be there anymore!

Well the saga continues:

Last night I got a call from the Yanmar dealer. His latest offer is now below the price I was quoted for the CK30. So I went to Kioti as I was planning to do anyway and he will not budge on his price. He said a CK30/EX3200 is not an apples to apples comparison...that the 3200 would more closely compare to the CK2510. I dont think so. Am I wrong? Any opinions on what you all would do between 30/3200 with same equipment Yanmar being $400 less and reputable dealer 5 miles away vs. Kioti 20 miles away???

20 miles and 400 bucks wouldn't sway my decision one way or the other! Which tractor do you like the best and which one meets your needs with the most in reserve for those unforeseen times when you need a little extra machine? That would be the one I bring home.
Now if we were talking about the same machines at different lots the 400 bucks would sway me but the 5 miles or 20 would be more a decision based on the dealer and the way the Yanmar dealer is talking about tweaking things I would probably walk away and not look back even if he was on the property next door to me!
