Kinetic Flywheel Wood Splitter

Yeah, and if I were going to buy one, I'd buy the original, not the knockoff. I don't know if his patent ran out or if the copycats just made a tiny change enough to be able to rip off his design, but I would rather my money go to the guy who put the brainpower and sweat into creating it, than into a copycat company. This design was truly original thinking, and his creativity and hard work ought to be rewarded.

Tried to buy one. They never answered the phone and never returned my messages, circa 2014. Wanted to drive down and pick it up. Bottom line was no response.

DR Power was a customer so we bought one of those, at a discount.

Suspect they are indeed copies. The parts manual is very detailed and gives all the specs for things like bearings, pinions etc.

The machine is all in inches, while some of the frame is metric.

Bearing failed last Fall. Looked in the parts manual, ordered a standard bearing from McMaster Carr and it was delivered next day.

Very fast, Chonda starts first or second pull. Great deal for me.
