Taken here yesterday. Might have got a foot of new snow and it was a high quality type.

Here is the drive to the trails yesterday. Top photo was still in town, with snow machine on. Then the lake clouds dissipated, for a few minutes anyway.

A close friend had a place on Houghton lake a few years back. We went up every winter for to snowmobile and for the little winter festival they did on the ice. Did the Polar Bear dive once. Rode atvs around there a few times in the summer also. They sold that place and are now on Burt lake. Only rode there 2 times. Most of my time in Michigan is spent at my cabin in the UP.

I'm not sure where Houghton lake is. This thread is about Keweenaw Lake effect snow.

Houghton Lake is in the lower.

He's in the upper on the Keweenaw peninsula sticking out into Lake Superior.

Now I'm with you. The profile showed Houghton. Even though Im in the UP yearly, I haven't made it that far West.
