I used square tubing for a project and didn't want to have wasps build nests inside the tube, so I used a urethane foam to fill the ends. It seems like it will work well and was much faster and easier than welding on ends. After the stuff cured i trimmed it flush with the end using a sharp putty knife.

The second coat of paint will make it orange.

Thats a good idea. I have a few things like that I could use that stuff on.

Hmm... We use a lot of plastic caps.

They look much more professional and the larger ones cost about 50 cent each... :p
