Keeping hoses off ground

Ive seen in the past a metal spring deal with two eyelets on the ends for securing things that required a lot of stretching.

My grapple hoses are dragging/just getting in the way, I'm afraid tbey are gonna catch something.

Can someone tell me the name for that springy thing that might work.

Also after a week of sitting my legs on my backhoe leak down a little, no way to lock them that I can see. Am I missing something?

can't help with the name but you see them alot on snow blowers with the chute rotation. I know I have seen pictures on this forum

You can try zip-ties as a temporary fix, just be sure to leave slack in the lines. As for the spring, I would think that most any spring would work if it's strong enough, I'd use one of those radiator hose clamps as a way to attach the spring to the hydraulic hoses.

Not as elegant maybe, but some bungees will work until you find what you are looking for. That was my plan only the bungees are still there after more than 10 years.

I would vote for rubber bungees too; easy to use and replace. Take the hook out of one end of the bungee and hook the other end into the hole

It looks as if the hoses are a little too long. What about slackening off the two 90 degree bend couplings and altering the angle.

Routing the hoses differently might help some. Most hardware stores have assorted springs that could be adapted to your use. I'm thinking something like the clamp below on one end of a spring:

The hose connection you have that aims down doesn't help.

I use bungees & prefer them for holding hoses. If an elegant solution is the mechanically correct one, then bungees get an "A".

Bungees allow the hose to stretch and bend in any direction it needs to - but without any hard edges. They don't rust, or abrade when the rub, and they are simple to adjust properly.

I buy several at a time & keep the right length ones as replacement spares right on the same shelf box that holds the spare filters, oil, and fuel additive.
Buy them longer than needed and make several wraps to use up the unwanted length. That makes the best use of the elasticity and also keeps them from slipping.
