I had a
BX22, and now have a
B2620. Much of the work you describe is easier with the B than the BX. For one thing you can get a QA on the loader, and a set of forks that are better for moving logs, and brush around than anything available for the BX. Next, moving brush implies rough ground, and things that could damage the BX filters / fan/ hydro much easier than on a B. In the woods I find my B far more stable than my BX was for some reason. Perhaps it is the larger loaded tires, or just the stance, but I know without question that I have done work in places I would have feared to tread with my BX. I have old logging skidder paths that I'm fixing up, and the B has been great for that. I do miss my BX on occassion though, and have thought hard about replacing my garden tractor with one. I don't mow with my B, and do find that the front R-4's will tear things up if I get careless at all on my grass. Here are a couple of pics of the places, and kinds of work I have been doing. By the way, the section of trail in the first picture was 3'-4' deep ruts earlier that morning.
