I've noticed that DK40/45/50 owners have the KB2485 backhoe. In getting a quote for a Dk50SE HST TLB I thought it was for the KB2485 backhoe. The dealer said it was for the slightly smaller KB2475 because most people prefer it.Aside from the digging power have you found the larger KB2485 backhoe well matched to the machine? What are prices for the KB2485 & KB2475?
Thanks

They are in the 8K neighborhood. As far as I know the 2485 belongs on the DK50 and is what specs out on my 40. You can check all specs for each tractor on Kioti's web site and what hoe is recommended for each.

If I were buying a DK 50 I would demand the 2485 hoe......Good Luck!

Willing to bet he has a 2475 in mind to get rid of.

Don't settle for the 2475...the 2485 is what you want and it, frankly, could be a bit stronger but is a good match for a tractor of that weight.

I have a KB2375, older version of the 2475, on my CK30hst. It's a good match for mine. With a DK50, I'd definately want the 2485. Slightly longer reach and stronger. Some members have put a Woods 8x on their CKs and it fits the tractor well. If you can afford the extra, go with he 2485. I agree with the others in that he must have a 2475 that he wants to disappear or he would have happily sold you a 2485.

Thanks for the input. No, he has to order either backhoe. It didn't make sense that the smaller (for lack of a better way to describe it) 2475 was automatically paired with the DK40/45/50. I've checked out all the specs and could go either way, that's why I wanted all your opinions. Why would you choose one over the other. At this time the longer reach and more digging power might be helpful but is that the reason you would go for the 2485.
FYI... I also want a hydraulic thumb, filled tires, wheel weights, mid PTO,front and rear 2nd remotes on a DK50SE HST , any comments, suggestions appreciated. This is my first new tractor after years of fixing old ones so want to get it right. Thanks

A Hydraulic thumb is going to be Expensive!!!!! Why you want Wheel Weights and Filled Tires?

The 75 would be to small on a DK 50.
I run an 85 backhoe on my DK 35 and wouldn't want any smaller.

I wouldn't mess with wheel weights or filled tires if that BH is going to be a regular fixture on there.
