Has anybody had any experience with any of these drills? Preferabaly the plotters choice. Looking to do foodplots, something for small seed and also row crops. Any help would be greatly appreciated or other brands. THANKS

I can't speak to the Kasco, but I frequently use the Truax FLX series drills for native plantings. Expensive, but worth it for seed that can run $200/lb plus.
We do a lot of research plots and couldn't live without it.
If you are planting cool-season crops like corn or wheat in your food plots, a cool-season box is an option for many of their drills.
These are mostly larger pieces of equipment, definitely not for ATVs or SCUTs.

Buckmaster: I have not had any experience with Kasco products. I did go to their website, and based on the model you inquired about, I assume you intend to use an ATV as your source of power. I will probably get a lot of disagreement, but I just don't think an ATV has sufficient power to operate ground engaging tools with much success. I have seen too many people start out that way only to eventually give up and purchase a tractor of some sort. Talk to people who have tried it with an ATV. I may be wrong, but I just think in the long run you will be happier with equipment made to do the job.

Foodplot: I also went to the Truax website. Now those are serious pieces of equipment. I only wish they were in my budget.

I also went to your bio, and it appears that your are a professional game management biologist of some sort. I would love to hear more about what exactly you do and where you do it. I live in Tennessee and "manage" 296 acres that I own. It is stricly a hobby (albiet an expensive one), but I enjoy doing things that enhance my land for wildlife.

I will not be using a atv. I bought a new john deere 4320 4+4/50 hp to do the job so i think that will be plenty enough for the job. What do you thing about the quality and effectivness of the the equipment. I am new to this so any help would be great especially if someone else knows what they are looking at. THANKS

I made an incorrect assumption about your equipment. You should be able to effectively utilize most or probably all of the seeding equipment I see on their website with your 4320. I suggest that you contact one of their dealers and discuss your plans. Just a guess, but those seeders appear to be very nice. Wish I had one.

If you get more information, please post again. I would be curious what you learn.

By the way, welcome to TBN. You will find this site to be a wealth of information.

Not familiar with the Kasco but from the pictures it looks too light to me. Could work depending on how your soil is prepared.

I have CRP acres that I used a drill to put in cool season grasses and legumes. Also used it for switch grass (warm season) but that was a mistake as it needs to be planted much shallower.

For the annual food plots I plant corn and sorghum in long rows contoured through the fields with an old 4-row Deere planter. I broadcast the excess seed along with sunflower seeds in certain areas then pull a drag over it to cover the seed.
