Does anyone have any experience with the line of Kasco Drills. I am contemplating buying one but have reservations based on this. In looking at videos of them it looks like the drills just drop seed on top of the ground instead of placing it at a predefined depth. Don't want to spend money on this if I just need to get regular no till drill. There are several models but I would need at least a 6 foot drill

Check the qdma forums, more than a few folks with them over there. I ended up going with a lightly used great plains over a new kasco, but kasco definitely has a fan club for food plots. They are much lighter than most no till drills which turned me off, but that may be a good thing depending on the size of your available equipment.

I use a great plains drill. Well made. I picked up a used 2009 unit....

Thanks all. Went with the Great Plains also. Just could not get over the single disc opener and getting seeds to a consistent depth (other than a high priced cultipacker) with the Kasco. A seed drop tube that to me just drops the seed on top of the ground. Another benefit is my GP is true no-till .
