The other day was driving down a gravel road. went around a curve to the right & had to turn steering wheel to left 3 complete turns to keep from running into ditch. i must be bleeding off somewhere, any help would be helpful!

Mine did that from day one. Chip sent me a rebuild kit but, just for grins I decided to drain the fluid. I got a lot of dirty oil out and refilled with 20 wt hydraulic fluid. It drives like a car at speed now. Before I couldn't keep it between the ditches. If you take the plug out of the bottom of the pump be careful, there is part of a valve in there that will fall out, watch to see which way it goes back in.

If there are no obvious leaks in the steering cylinder, try keeping the rpm's up and be sure your hydraulic steering reservoir is full (under the hood). I wouldn't think your cylinder is bad on a new machine?...but it happens.

They can leak across the piston without leaking externally. The oil just flows back with the return oil. It is a common problem on all chinese tractors. The easy test is if the steering wheel stops at the end of the travel or if can continue to turn.

check your fluid level in the PS tank. Mine was low and was sucking a bit of air and caused the same thing as yiou had. Dont use the dipstick, take the cover off and look.
