keep in mind that kubota q/a is different then skidsteer q/a. Kubota has a factory option for a pin based q/a system that will work with there q/a buckets or another vendor who makes kubota q/a attachments (there are only a few).

skidsteer q/a works with a much larger range of generic skidsteer attachments, although I've found there are some skidsteer brackets which don't work. this requires an adapter which sits on the end of your loaders arms.

I recently posted a thread with some pics of a kubota ATI tach-all. check out; http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/...9702-ati-tach-all-adapter-la402-new-post.html

I would go with the skidsteer q/a system so you can rent/borrow skidsteer attachments as long you have at least a la402/la403 FEL. With those loaders, you do have to be careful with weight, but there are alot of options. I wouldn't do a skidsteer q/a on anything less then a la402 or la403. Also helps w/ resale value (I hope). Good luck.

OK...so don't go with the normal Kabota QA, Skidsteer QA option is the way to go, does that allow you to just remove the bucket quicker?

Tractor newbie:rolleyes:

clint - skidsteer QA, which is what we all mean when we talk about QA, makes taking things on and off the front easier. If you only use a bucket, its not useful, and actually detracts as it uses some of the lift capacity of your loader. However, there are many different useful things one can put on the front, and doing them easily and quickly makes the tractor more productive and more pleasant.

Also, you have a much larger market available to buy from, as skidsteer QA is the de facto front equipment standard.

For the other stuff, do a search and read the great threads - I'd have to write a book, and most of it I learned here anyway. Its worth your time.

Speaking of third functions on loaders........ is there such a kit (or option), Kubota or aftermarket, for hard lines for a LA403 loader for third function ?? I'm thinking hard lines would be a better route than zip tying rubber lines.

neil messick would know the answer I'm sure. But I've had no real trouble with zip tied lines, though I wish they were armored for my woods work. I'm sure the hoses will go one day, but they'll be easier to replace.

I did notice that my neighbors JD3540 had all armored FEL lines, and when at my local JD dealer most of their tractor models came this way.
