I was toying with the idea of a NH Workmaster 55 and then heard that LS K5055 is pretty darn close to being the same for a little less money.

My questions:
1. Is the LS transmission a shuttle shift like the NH?
2. Any idea the price the bare-bones tractor plus FEL is going for these days? Nearest LS dealer is 2hrs away and I usually want to talk in person with salesmen.

I'm guessing a "sliding gear shifting" transmission is basically a simple geared transmission (have to clutch every gear, forward and back).
I'm looking to upgrade out of that (which I already have), so I'll be looking at another LS series.

I bought the xr4046hc, which is the largest horsepower Hydro stat model that they make. it is 46hp and 35 at the pto.

I found a dealer closer than the one the LS site recommended. Only a hour or so away.

I just priced a K5055 from my dealer here in Ohio. Quoted $22,290 including a Remote Valve, loader and Freight. Hoping to get filled tires thrown in.. I'm going to an auction this weekend and if I don't get anything I'll be pulling the trigger next week.
