K46AC Gears

I started repair as others have on my TT K46AC. The L2048 has 337 hrs on the ticker. The two magnets were saturated with metal shavings and the lube was black as asphalt. Some of the gears had serious wear:

Above is the final pinion gear that drives the final gear (differential) and a reduction gear that drives the brake disk motor gear.

The differential gears didn't look all that good , so I will be replacing those also - 4 gears with a little roller shaft pin.

fortunately all matching gears come in a kit including the roller pins

These probably would last another season (or 2) but why wait and take a chance that these could take out the whole unit.
Another note: if you have a K46 with this many hours and there hasn't been anyone inside, you may expect to find similar wear. The trans is not that hard to dismantle, just a little tricky keeping up with the small BB's and pins.
