Congrats on your new Tractor.
After getting fed up with the lack of capability from my overpriced Kubota B3300SU that I bought last July, I finally worked the deal on a new 2014 last production 4105 with 300cx FEL. I ended up at $23,800.00 total on the new 4105 unit with 0% for 5yrs through JD. I received a promo mailer from JD to trade my Kubota in for up to $2,000.00 additional trade value and I also had a $500.00 Drive Green coupon which allowed me to get $15,000.00 for my Bota and the dealer discounted from right at $28,000.00 on the 4105 to make my total come out to a savings of $30.00 per month to boot! I test drove the new tractor after much deliberation on which model would best suit my needs. I first decided on a New 3R series 3039R, but decided no after the price quote, so then I went for a 4044R and again, not interested in the price. My discount coupons was only good for certain models anyway and the 4000 series was included. I really wanted the 3 speed hydro tranny, but again, not another $5k made me decide to go with the 4105.I had a strict budget to adhere to and for my requirements in this size tractor, I was limited in my choices. I have 10acres right now which is hilly and bumpy, so low gear or slight middle is the most you can deal with from a back pain standpoint. I am very pleased with the deal I got and look forward to it arriving within a few days. I am seriously looking at the iMatch quick hitch as my first mod as well as the power beyond kit to use with a 3pt log splitter. I will probably add a rear work light and the engine block heater for next winter. Any things good or bad that I should be on the lookout for?

Congrats on the new tractor!!!! She's a Beaut.

As for dealers, I only depend on them to have in stock what I'm looking for. Beyond that, it's all on me. If I buy a tractor that won't do the work I intended or if I pay more than the going price, who's fault is that anyway?? ;)

Thanks again fellas! I put it to the test today ever so slightly by tilling about a 1/4 acre garden spot to form my punkin patch. I Love the turbo vs my previous tractors without. It just puts the power down like I've never been able to do without any strain on the tractor! I was able to offset the tiller since it is a 5' model and the rear track is almost 66" which allowed it to cover the tracks just fine. Funny and quick little story, I called the JD dealer and my salesman checked to see if the iMatch quick hitch had came in, but it had not which meant I would have to modify my plans to alter my tiller's pto shaft. It needs to be shortened, a couple of inches, but according to my research, the quick hitch will move the implements back further which in turn should allow me to leave the shaft alone. I had to drop by the old dealer where my Kubota was purchased since he is the only dealer near me that carries the brand of tiller I have. They stock a lower 3pt clevis attaching arm that attaches to my tiller that will allow me to use it now anyway. The owner saw me come in and immediately noticed the JD license plate on my truck and started giving me some flack. I told him pretty much like I had before, treat me with honesty and sell me an equal product that can actually do the tasks I ask for and I would have been back there again. He asked why I needed "more" tractor and I told him that the FEL capacity was what I was mostly after. He wanted to argue about the little Kubota being able to lift a large round bale or anything I need to do. I just acted nice and knew in my mind that if the JD dealership could have helped me, I wouldn't have been back anyway. It is just so amazing how some business owners just don't get it!

Good dealers are very worth it. I am glad you found one.

Good choice. I have one just like yours -- a 2011. Very glad to also have a grapple with 3rd function hydraulics. It makes picking up those trees very easy.

My salesman called me about the damaged hood issue and asked me what I thought was fair to compensate me for the issue. I really want the part to be new, but I don't think they will go for the $700+ hood price. I'm kinda mixed on what to do. What do you guys think is a fair thing for both parties? I really appreciate the folks wanting to make it right. They got a confession from their driver that picked up the tractor that he hit something that flew up from the road and caused the problem. He initially tried to hide the problem. Honesty is always best!

Congrats. Sorry about the hood.

I have had a 4105 for about two years now. Very happy.

New hood, that is why they buy insurance.
