You are correct. I always liked and still do like Kubota. The dealer new that I needed more tractor and asssured me that the B3300SU (SU stands for Special Utility) was more than up to any task I could throw at it. Well when we decided to get a half dozen Zebu cattle and needed to lift 5'x5' hay bales, guess what? No way was that gonna happen, I was told that it could lift "at least" 1,500 lbs with the factory FEL which was incorrect. To get that capacity with a Kubota, you must get a new Grand L or step up to an M series. None of the standard L series even come that close. JD definitely has the FEL capacity hands down. I just regret not doing more research myself, because now I'm a few grand to to the bad that I could have put toward other implements or such. That's water under the bridge now and we shall move forward!
Thanks for the warm wishes for my new "toy"! I hope to get it today or tomorrow. I am assuming that it really needs 6' implements due to the larger rear track width? Everything that I have is 5' due to my smaller tractor. My tiller can be offset, so that will solve one issue and my rotary cutter really doesn't make that big of a deal I wouldn't think. As for the finish mower, I am not sure it it would be better to trade up to a 6' or not to cover the tracks. My box blade will not matter either I know. What do you guys think?

You could throw 10,000 lbs at it and it should lift it based on what the dealer said then? I would have read the specs before buying. A generic comment such as the dealer made does not say to me it would lift 1500 lbs.

Tom, you are kinda missing my point a little. I'm not perfect and obviously made a mistake that cost me some cash to fix. You can bet that I research more nowadays and use forums like this to get real life experiences of others to help me in my decisions. The whole thing in a nutshell is that I learned my lesson and people in general are out to screw you in business and although I didn't do my research, I was dealing with people that I could in the past and believed that I could still trust. We were just getting into a small hobby scale of cattle and had no idea of what a bale of hay weighed a year ago, much less that there are so many different size and weight bales. My previous CUTs were merely for mowing with the finishing mowers and light FEL work. The sad thing is that my bad experience and that of some others that I am aware of is really taking it's toll on their business. You screw people and lie to them for long and you will pay and may even end up with a failed business. Kubota also lost a customer in the process even though they weren't directly responsible, I ended up switching brands to the JD dealer who was more than helpful and willing to do whatever it takes to get me what I wanted. I manage a sales department in a retail environment and I know firsthand on what doing the right and doing the wrong thing to customers will get you. Anyway, my tractor is at the dealer as of this afternoon and I just loaded my orange tractor for it's last ride on my trailer and will be bringing the Big Green Monster home tomorrow evening! Thanks for yours and everyone's advice and kind words! I'll post pics asap!!!Thanks:cool2:

It sounds like you have been through the school of hard knocks. Too bad for the Kubota dealer and good for the JD dealer. Both good brands. I agree that the Kubota dealer should not have said what he did, but I am of the school that I don't trust entirely what I am told. I too manage a sales team (multi state in my case) and my philosophy is straight up facts with customer focus. But that does not mean I trust what I am told when I am buying something. I bet you are more satisfied with your JD and good luck to you.

Ok, Here it is! Looks like it will be going back already for a repair due to something flying off of the road and knocking a chunk out of the hood while they were bringing it up from one of their other stores or in shipment from JD to them. They are not sure at this point. The hood assembly appears to be item # LVA16782 and it retails for $730.74!!! The dealership was cool about it and apologized as the service manager and salesman took photos and documented the damage. I also noticed that the hydraulic hoses are wrapped in some kind of black wrap that was ripped and shredded. Upon further checking, when the right tire is turned fairly deep to the right, it contacts the hoses and has caused a chaffed hose and the wrap being shredded. This will be repaired as well. Can one of you post a few pics of the attaching clips/cable ties and attachment points and routing so that I can see where the bundle of hoses should correctly be routed? I would greatly appreciate it. It's kinda a let down, seems like most of the things I tend to purchase always has damage or defects when I first get them, guess it's bad luck or they just see me coming! LOL

Hoses is the dealer who put the FEL on, the loaders don't come on them from the factory.

Don't get bummed about it though. Congrats on the new tractor.

Time and again customers leave a certain product due to bad dealers, and it seems the manufacturers just don't care. I've complained to several manufacturers about dealers and they all have the same response - OH WELL. I was about to spend 300K on some new trucks with Freigtliner, I talked to the sales guy told him what I wanted and to send me paperwork. He never did. I wrote a long note to Freightliner and the dealer manager explaining ho they can spend millions on advertising to get people to purchase their product and then leave it up to one moronic sales person who doesn't have the wherewith all to send a proposal.
I followed up my note with signed contracts from HINO for the same amount Freightliner lost. Will that accomplish anything -nope. Dealers will always screw people, and manufacturers will always suffer.
