Just pulled the trigger on new 2520

Well. I waited all I could. I traded my 2305 with 62 mmm for a new 2520 with 62d and 200 cx loader with tires filled and being delivered tomorrow at appx noon. I traded for 7400 and I think i got a fair deal. I feel like a kid at Xmas. Lol.

Sounds good....you won't be dissappointed with the 2520. I got mine late summer last year, and it has lived up to, and exceeded my expectations. I'm very pleased with it.

If it's not too late, get the dealer to swap the rear tires to the wide offset. It's easier for them to do than for you to do after they're filled.

The wheels have offsets built into them so that they will either be mounted to provide a narrow rear track (valve stems facing out), or turned around to provide a wide track (valve stems facing in). To change it, you can't just turn each tire around, because it would reverse the direction of the tread. You have to swap the two wheels side-to-side.

You have to use two jacks to lift the rear axle up enough to remove both rear tires. It's important to support the rear axle with two jacks so that the tractor doesn't tip sideways by pivoting on the front axle, which it will do if you don't support it correctly. Once filled, the tires are quite heavy, and you need to be careful when handling them and trying to roll them around.

My dealer already had mine set to wide when it was delivered.

Narrow may be better if working width matters. As in farming rows or possibly in an orchard.

I think mostly people go with the wider width for stability and safety on not level ground.

I have level ground and still prefer a wide stance.

Just received tractor a few minutes ago. Wow. What a piece of equipment. I love it. And as wet as it has been, I mowed the bottom and no damage at all. Will post pics later. !! Thanks for all advice
