From everything I have read and asked, I have been told Yes and No. I am having the rear tires filled and there will be at minnimum a box scraper on the rear when doing this, All I need it to do is lift the load off the trailer and be able to raise it to 4 feet to stack, I will only be doing this A couple time's a year and getting a bigger tractor would be overkill and to go to another brand would cost me alot more. I am having A remote installled on the front to run a grapple and the dealer assured me they would go through the hydros to make sure they were adjusted and tuned properly. I think I will be fine, I just wanted to ask the guy's that are actually owning and operating these for some real world input while I still have a chance to change my mind. The spec says 2500 @ the pin I am only asking for it to lift 2000 on A standard 40x48 pallet with pallet forks. When I do get it I will post pics:thumbsup:

You are at about the limit of its lifting capacity. it will depend on how the weight is distributed on the pallet.

If you have 42" forks pick the pallet up from the side. That would be like moving 400 pounds back towards the pins on a 2000lb pallet.

Don't the specs include numbers for distances out in front of the pin? Look to see what that rating is. Figure the load will be 20-24" in front of the pin.

The spec is actually 2,638lbs according to the manual, but that is to full height. It will lift more to only 4ft, but you lose capacity as the load moves out from the pins.

A box blade and loaded tires may not be enough to max the loader. You're probably going to need to come up with 1k or more on the 3pt. I have close to 1,400lbs of counterweight, and I can finally max out the loader.

No idea what this weighed, but it maxed the loader taking it to full height.

Pretty heavy concrete forms with 3/4" plywood on both sizes....this was close to max when I loaded them back on the semi-trailer

No, they only give specs at the pins :(

Thank you, this is what I was wanting to hear. I can always have the old lady stand on the back for more counter weight. I read the link posted above and wondered if I was going to have enough loader. The dealer I am buying from has told me it should do what I need it to but does not want to make any promises.

From experience, you can pretty much half your loader rated capacity using pallet forks and palletized loads. So I will vote no.

If you're going off your experience with your CT235, that isn't going to help much.

The R4047s loader is rated at lifting 2,638lbs including a 72" bucket, which weighs probably 300lbs. Forks weigh maybe 100lbs more, so he's looking at a max of 2,500lbs lifting capacity, but that's to full height (which he doesn't need to do), so the actual lift capacity is higher than that. They typically say you lose 20% of your capacity going from the pin spec to 24" spec, which would put him at 2,000lbs to full height, or more to a lower height.

The block of steel we used to make my counterweight was weighed at exactly 1,300lbs. With zero ballast, and no counterweight, I was able to lift it with the pallet forks....the rear tires were light, but the loader had plenty of power left. With a counterweight, 1,300lbs is nothing to lift, and I've lifted 3 telephone poles at the same time, but didn't see how high it would lift them, and they typically weigh at least 1K.

With plenty of time using the same loader, I'm pretty sure he'll be able to do it...not with much room to spare, but I'd bet on it.
