After going through the tractor this AM I did find the rears were over inflated to 50 Psi. Lowered them down to the sidewall recommendation of 20 Psi. Front were OK as was everything else I checked.

I'm not sure why dealers do this, but it seems that most of them do. Maybe for transporting? :confused3: I think that you will find that you will have better traction now. Load your tires and you will really see a difference. ;)

View attachment 363226I contacted LS about the plug in for the strobe, and you have to buy the whole kit, $200+, so i bought a stobe bar on ebay for $53- it works nice. I had to take a couple of the blank switch plates and mount the controls to the strobe in them. that wasn't too hard but it did take a little engineering. the wiring is in the tractor already. BTW nice tractor. :)
Whispering Oaks, I love that carry-all, nice job!

Did my own inspection on the tractor earlier today. minor adjustments to level mirror brackets, air pressure in tires, fluids, etc. Then went to local TSC store for some materials. I welded a piece of 2"x2" angle to the top of the bucket to add strength and welded on a couple hooks. Primed and repainted. Then I added a couple D-rings to the brush bar to use as chain tie down points when I need to haul it on the trailer. Put a large Clevis on the rear draw bar for rear chain tie points.

My R3039 is about the same size as your tractor and has the same tires, I keep my rear tires about 13lbs and even with a weighted box blade that weighs just over 900lbs.

FYI - unless they changed the bucket design, the angle iron was likely overkill. That top portion of the bucket is a 2" x 3" box tube, using I believe 3/16" thick tubing. I bolted my hooks on directly through it.

I like the tie down idea. I have been planning to do something similar on mine for some time, but havent gotten to it yet. For now, I just use a clevis hook directly on the front frame rail on either side.

Those hooks on the top of the bucket look good. Those are very useful. I also like the tie downs.

Bucket is still the same. I like overkill.

I also attended the Syracuse NY State Farm show and stopped by the LS Tractor display. I'm somewhat impressed with the sophistication and heft of the tractors. I'm interested in the P series..the 7040CPS in particular.. nice tractor. However, my closest dealer is in Utica, about 60 miles west of us. Seems the dealer is new to LS and handles the low end of the product line. I'd have to travel to Rochester .. a bit too far ..to find an AG Tractor LS dealer. Too bad, looks like a well made tractor.. more than competitively priced.
