Just finished building my new culti-monster

I have several fist sized rocks in one of my plots, this "culti-monster" should do the trick in getting them raked up!!

Basically, I'm going to run it with a floating top link and have the s-tines just scraping the ground to pop the rocks up. Then the rake tines should gather everything up into a pile for easy disposal.

In the spring, after my rye has bolted. I will do the same thing in order to gather up as much green manure mulch as possible to spread under my apple trees in the orchard.

I'm taking it down to camp this weekend, wish me luck!

Just a few ideas, in case they are of any help.....

You will probably find that after a short distance, stones start to work their way out eitherside of the "rake" - to overcome this you should consider maybe adding wings to enable more stone to be collected....? We had a de-stoner built based on a grader / drag box design. This allows the box to fill with stone. As we are clearing a field we lift the box a certain points to allow the stone to be left behind - if we do this at the same position each time it leaves windrows of stone which can then be easily collected with the loader, or even loaded onto our truck using the excavator.

Wings would be easy to install, never gave that a thought. Too late to fab something up before the weekend but we can call this first outing a test drive.
