My wife hates the interstate but I told her get on , I am not riding home on 2 lane 150 . Is that how bad people reason these days ?

Your under the assumption paying attention to where you are going is still the drivers responsibility, auto manufactures are encouraging drivers to rely on the active driving warning systems to keep them out of danger. Text, talk on the phone, sing anything but drive. Toyota's "You don't own me commercial, can't what for the first class action lawsuit.

I saw someone pulling out of a gas station tonight with no lights on. The problem is the areas are so lit up at night that you hop in your car and have no problems seeing all your instruments and such, and don't realize your lights aren't on until you get to darker spots down the road.

Why I like auto on all of the time. I use high beams when I can... unless it is very foggy.

I used to hate auto-anything.... but now, I have to say, auto-transmission, power seast, locks, mirrors, sunroofs, heated seats, auto-on headlights, power trunk release, remote start, tire pressure sensors, oil change monitor.... After owning them, I do enjoy that stuff immensely! :laughing:

I also use my high beams as much as possible. Seen many an animal coming out of the woods that way. I wore out the high beam/turn signal stalk on our 2000 Impala and my 1993 Suburban. Had to replace them.

I'm a 18-wheeler owner/operator. You should see stupid drivers from the perspective of a big rig. I have a triple axle trailer and I'm legal for a GCVW of 88,000 pounds. You can't imagine how people will pull out in front of a 44 ton truck.
