Just bought a bush hog, what to look for??

Intermission Time.

I bought a 5' Ford brush cutter once for $100. Worked like a champ. My Son still uses it. Doesn't have a stump pan. Does have a slip clutch. So the elusive cheap cutter is out there. You just gotta be diligent!!!!!!

I have NEVER paid more than $200 for a cutter.

Currently have a bushhog 105, 306 and a kk 5'. Also had an older modern sunshine 5' cutter, and dads 6' KK. Deals are out there if you dont mind having to do a little work.

If Gearbox is solid, and pto shaft is there.... everything else is easy/cheap to fix.

I bought a 5 foot bush hog that was 2 years old for 150.00. But that was 20 years ago

I bought a 5' bushhog for $75 a few years back. It needed a new top.
Local fab shop bent up a new top in exchange for me mowing their field, I think I had 3-4 hours into mowing the field twice.
