Guy in my group that runs his own little saw shop. He buys new and sells also.

Good honest guy. Buy alot of bars from him and trade some collector saws to him.
He just does this as a hobby since he has a real job you retire from that pays him well at Federal level.

Give you something to compare to at your dealers anyways.

Plus then he can sell like this PHO saws. Plus he ships saws. ;)

MS261 $670 plus shipping.
MS 400 $1120.00 plus shipping.
MS462 $1360.00 plus shipping
MS462R $ 1480 plus shipping,
MS500i $1550 plus shipping,
MS500 R ( wrap handle ) $1600 plus shipping.

That 346 boot was something different. Wasnt heat melt type.

This is a cut type tear in boot. 1st pic from this saw. It would have been a air leak and burned up saw if past owner would have used it.

I've seen hot and I have seen hot hot. Left side hot hot. Boot was fine.

Old dolmar 166 fuel and oil tanks split. Only one I ever heard about being done.

There was no gasket and not a clue if suppose to be apart.

But it worked and saved my nitro/alky from get ruined by bar oil.

Saw still out there today. I think a guy is going to run it in the vintage hotsaw class Sat.

Old echo 702 70.7cc I got off a guy at work that bought it new.
Made like the echo 750 78.6cc. Just smaller smaller bore by 2mm.

He used to run 8T 24" for firewood.

I put the 36" for testing fun.

Anyone else doing it like this?

I quit just trimming the plastic clamp and using metal clamp over it.

I just cut it all the way off anymore and metal clamp directly to rubber boot.

I haven’t seen a down side to this yet. Anyone?
