I know its imporant to check pressure prior to use as you can easily peel a bead, also with the BX it can be a safety concern on hills. I have a BX23 and the tires sound more substanstial. Any holes I have had I have been able to repair using a mushroom plug kit. They are designed for motorcycle tire repair in the middle of no where,so using one in the shop is a no brainer.I have also had better luck with these on repairs that slime could not fix.
I also found amethod for foaming your tires making them a run flat, not sure how it works, but I know they make foam cores for mountain bikes, and the slow speed of a tractor should be safe for use.

Here is the mushroom plug kit, I thoroughly recommend. It has repaired many tires and has enough plugs to last a while. The last repair was adjacent to a lug on my bota rear tire, towards the side wall that flexed, always making it leak.I believed it to be in the worst palce and tried, slime, and those plugs that are flexible with glue you have to trim. neither worked. I mushroomed it in about 15 minutes, that was 3-4 years ago and I never looked back. Its jsut a handy toolto have in the shopout in the country. Comes with a good reamer, and the press to install the plug. The mushroom capis on the inside of the tire,so the airpressure keeps it sealed against the inside of the tire.

There is also enough plugs to last me a long time. I carry it on my bike as well.
