Craftsman Lt200
I recently acquired an 18hp Craftsman lt2000 and have been working on fixing it up (new mandrels, blades, belt). I noticed that the blades were engaged even when the PTO lever was down. There is some slack in the belt and the brake pads on the brake arms look to be pretty worn. Should I start by replacing the brake arms to see if that corrects the problem?

Welcome to the forum and congrats on your acquisition! :)

I am going to move your thread over to the Craftsman section to see if we can get you some answers.
