Where is the best place online to buy OEM JD parts at a good price?

Green Parts Store and Green Tractor Parts both get the job done. But also ordering right thru the JD site gets the parts sent to your local dealer for pickup. I've also called orders into my local dealer, and asked them to just drop ship to me.

Price-wise, they all seem to come out about the same for me. Green Parts Store has all sorts of free shipping options, but their prices may be a few dollars higher to cover. Your local dealer a free weekly shipment from Deere, at MSRP pricing, but can also get the part before the weekly shipment if you want to pay shipping.

I have learned from these forums that JD dealer prices may be higher than Green Parts Store. So shop around and double check. For me I use Green Parts Store to check prices. Never once has it failed that it is the exact same price as my local dealer. Keeps me from bothering the counter person for price checking.

I have never ordered parts online.

If you order from your local dealer and can wait a few days for your part make sure you specify stock order. It will save you on freight charges

For me, it almost always comes down to convenience and time. If the machine is out of commission, I'll gladly spend a few dollars extra to get the part through the fastest channel. If it's not a critical repair, then I choose the method that keeps me from having to drive to the dealer for a pick up.

I know this will come up as I have been called out on it several times. I know many have hours round trip to reach their dealer. I’m blessed to live 20 minutes from my closest dealer. 5 minutes when I’m at work

I shop and buy online often (Amazon, eBay, Green Parts Store, etc...) but there is a Deere dealer 4 miles from my house - so they get most of my specialized parts $. Shop local when you can.
