I've already got a 47" 2 stage JD snowblower that came off a 2210. It requires 2 sets of hydraulics (1 for up/down, 1 for chute control). I've narrowed my choices to two 'groups' 318, 322, 332 or 425, 445, 455. I prefer the latter for the differential lock and for foot controlled hydro. Best scenario is to save some money by finding one that needs engine work (I've done rebuilds of a number of types of engines, from lawnmower, snowblowers, autos, and outboards). Because of the plastic cam gear issue, ideally I'd find one of the 4x5 mentioned previously - fix the cam for relatively little cost (not counting my time) and get a nice tractor.

So, I'm on the lookout! By the way, on my snowblower, it has the quick attach and the driveshaft for the 2210. Will those interchange with the 4x5 or 3xx mentioned previously?

Thanks, Chuck

Basicly, nothing you have will bolt up to any of the 300 series that you mentioned. The hitch MAY fit on the 400's, I just am not sure about that. If it does, the hoses will need to be moved and an extension added to them. The driveshaft will not fit any of the tractors you mentioned.

Good luck with locating the cheap 400 series tractors. They still bring a good buck even with failed parts. Some are repowered with gasoline engines while my 455 had 2,000 plus hours and ran great. Tough small compacts that can do many tasks.
