I have a JD C400E with a 60 mower deck; I believe the deck is a H060D. The PTO shaft to the deck gearbox needs to be replaced or rebuilt. My local JD dealer wants around $500 for a new shaft. I知 thinking that it should be possible to buy the components, slip shaft and U-joints and build the thing from scratch. Any advice or sources for parts would be greatly appreciated.
