Any one know the GPM for a john deere b 1951 vintage?

I want to get a log splitter and use the tractor hydraulics.

GPM is half your problem. The B system is maxed out at around 800-1000psi and probably 4 GPM. You will need a splitter cylinder of about 6" bore or more and maybe half a day to split a single decent sized chunk of wood. In other words, the B is completely inadequate for what you want to do.

Well I guess I better re-think this project. Thanks for the info.:)

You could run it from a PTO pump-then you'd have to add a tank also...probably looking at $500 or so just for that option.
