Clicking like a bad solenoid, starter will not engage. Replaced starter/solenoid, cleaned connections & new battery and it still does the same thing. Any ideas of what to try next? possible bad starter switch?

Try this..... Turn the keyswitch (with left hand) to the crank position (have a hammer in your right hand at the ready). If you hear the solenoid click, but the starter doesn't spin over, then take the hammer and rap the starter/solenoid sharply a couple times (but not hard enough to crack something) while still holding the key in the crank position. If the starter magically spins over, then you may need the extra relay added into the starter circuit. I used to have a JD 750 that developed the same symptoms as yours and the extra relay solved it. After I added it, the Yanny engine cranked up fine everytime. See the threads copied above, I think the installation is detailed in there. Good luck!
