John Deere 755 Fuel Injector

HELP...

I致e got a JD 755 witha 3 cylinder Yanmar Engine.

I was trying to figure out why I can稚 get it to start and I opened a fuel injector. Inside is a nipple, a spring, and a shim.

I put all three back together but I cannot get it to thread and screw back down.

As anyone had their injectors open?

They are supposed to be assembled the other way around..
ALL that stuff is supposed to be IN the body & the bottom nut screwed down ON TOP of all the goodies..
U obviously have something crooked..that the body wont screw down onto it..
I can suggest u leave out 1 part at a time & screw the body down..
THAT WAY, it'll eliminate the culprit & u can focus your attention on that part.
OR buy the inj. removal tool from Hoye & pull it out & start over..
Hoye rents the tool for 10.00 a day..
