We have a John deere 6420 and the auto light, located near the PTO lights on the right of the cab, is always on. I cant find out what it means or why it came on. Our tractor still runs the same. Thanks for the help.

Trans is in auto shift. Look for a button at the rear of the gear range knob. Press the button and light should be off and auto shift will be off.

I would just pull the fews when you don't need them on. Old trick my pappy showed me his gravely walk behind

Im guessing you have a IVT Transmission in that 6420. I think its in Full Auto mode. You could try putting it into manual mode and that should take it off. But it would drive like a regular tractor. Instead of it being in the Full Auto Mode. Hope that works.

Not to be rude but... whats with your random posts? This isn't a tractor you just pick up at Home Depot.. Pull that fuse out and you'll probably have a caution indicator flashing at you all day. :duh:
