John Deere 5525 Electrical Issue

Hey Guys,

I was bush hogging today.....about three hours in.......about 15 minutes after filling up my fuel.......I was going down a hill and the tractor completely shut down.....no electrical or anything.

To make matters worse when me and my dog got out to check things out we stirred up a yellow jackets nest......lots of fun trying to get my dog out of the cab.

Any idea what this might be?

sounds like you completely lost battery voltage, maybe just lost ground or a bad connection at one of the battery post. Once you get your 12V back check your alt to see if it is charging

I went on the forum today to write about a similar problem with my 5055e. After seeing this post, I thought I'd just comment here.

My tractor stopped running and I discovered that there was no power at the injector pump. I decided to check the fuses, which were all ok.
I must have moved something that had a bad connection, because I got power back and everything is working normally.
