I typed up a good long post and my stinking computer crashed. Get the tractor, its a good one.
I had to put new rubber fuel lines on our 5420last year. and when it sits, it will 'click' when you go to start it. Not cuz the battery is low, but it has some sort of sensor on the thermostat housing that is reading erratically. It always starts after 4 or 5 clicks. I had thought it was a bad solenoid but apparently not.

I have a 5520 and love it. Not just like it but love it. No probs except for the rotted fuel lines as already mentioned. Also have a problem getting the hood to shut on first try. I now spray WD-40 on the catch each time I shut the hood and problem solved.
I sometimes use mine for heavy field work and added a 300 LB starter weight on the front and can add up to eight or ten 100 lb front end weights. I have cast rear centers on the rear with two weights on each side. I could pull houses off the foundation with that set up. Pulls an 8 ft chisel plow in heavy clay. I added radials all the way around and I can tipppy toe over wet ground with no weights without sinking in.
This is a rugged series tractor with a proven engine and no serious problems I am aware of. The engine is built at a state of the art facility in Mexico.
There are many of these tractors where I live and I have heard of no issues.
