Moving on to another project while waiting on Kioti parts.

My wife has this mower that is in need of a LOT of work. Being that is has a 17HP Kawasaki and from my understand this is a good motor.
I've pulled the carb and cleaned it and put it all back together. The jet that's inside the bowl, main jet I think, isn't set correctly. I'm having trouble finding this setting.

Would anyone know how far this jet needs to be screwed in or backed out?

I didn't take the carb apart or I would of counted where it was set.

Part number for carb that's on it is: AM122852

In the stem? The main jet is turned in all the way- snug, no adjustment.

I'm with tp.
Generally, jets go snug, a needle (to go in a jet or other orifice) may adjust.

Thank you
I wasn't sure
I got a spring for the throttle return, so hopefully this think will run right.

Thanks again

Usually the jets are screwed in tight. Does it have a float? Often the float has a setting for it, sometimes a certain sized drill bit under the float with the carb upside down.

It has a float, I snugged it up and will have the new throttle spring on tomorrow and see how it goes.
