John Deere 5310 adjusting sway bar/ stabilizer chains help

Looks like your are using your Cat 2 lift arm pins on your Bush Hog. Cat 2 implement pins are set wider than cat 1 pins. But you also have cat 1 holes on the ball ends on your arms (I have the same 5310 as you do), so the sway links are designed to fit either Cat 1 or Cat 2. Cat 1 implement pins are close together (26") than they are on Cat 2 implement pins (32"). So when using Cat 2 implements and your Cat 2 lift arm ball ends, move the connection sway clevis that is pinned to the arms to the outward pin hole in the bracket on the arm. Or if you have the option on your Bush Hog, use the inner cat 1 lift arm ball position with your existing sway arm clevis pin setup. The 5310 has the flexibility to use either Cat 1 or Cat 2 implement hitches with their combination ball lift ends, so it is easy to have the sway arms out of adjustment for the right Cat 1 /Cat 2 implement!

I think your tractor is much like my 5205 and if so you are in the wrong hole to reduce sway.

They were expensive but I changed both my E’s over to the adjustable links with pins & couldn’t be happier.
those threaded ones like yours are very aggravating & will not turn by hand or wrench when old or neglected
