John Deere 5103 repair question

My 2005 John Deere 5103 needs a shift plate under the seat replaced. The shoulder bolt that connects the PTO to the plate broke off. I have the part to repair it but needed a little guidance. My tractor has synchro shift. I have a shifter on each side. One is the A B and C. The other is gears 1-3 and reverse. My concern is removing the shift levers and reinstalling. Any advice?
