John Deere 4520/Cab

   / John Deere 4520/Cab #51
I've been thinking of buying a John Deere 4520, the dealer tells me i can't use a front mounted snow blower. Anyone know if this is correct?

4x20 series does not have a front blower option used with mid-PTO. As pointed out there is a blower that mounts on FEL and is hydraulically driven by a rear power pack (PTO driven pump). Erskine and others make similar systems as well as mechanically driven front blowers (power routed by joints and shaft from PTO to front). There's also several rear pull-type blowers (blower faces forward) where you drive over the snow first then blow it - sounds funny but owners swear by them. Not as good in huge dumps or plow banks obviously. Those are much cheaper than front options which are all circa $10k.
