Haven't been here in quite some time. My neighbor asked me to grade his driveway, it's about a 25 degree, and about a 100 yards from the road up to the house. When I used the rear blade, I noticed the front heels were not driving. The tractor is 7 years old, this is the first time I've engaged the 4 wheel drive, and the front wheels didn't work. Have to leave soon to go to the nursing home to feed my wife, so I haven't looked at it. Any ideas? Oh, I did have to add a quart of transmission fluid to her to bring the level up to full.

Are you sure you got it into 4wd? When first using 4wd like when trying tractors out at the dealers and when I first got my 1st tractor, I sometimes did not get it into 4wd. The 2305, our 4010 and our 1025R never showed when you were "in". Finally, our current 2025R does, with a light on the dash.

Cannot believe you haven't used 4wd yet. You must not have any slopes to go down. It's very unsafe to go down slopes without 4wd. The rear wheels skid quite easily, and you don't have 4 wheel brakes if you're not in 4wd.

I have used the 4WD many times. When I push the leaver in, it isn't engaging.
