John deere 2240 3pt

Hello everyone, I was using my 2240 with a 6ft blade on the back to level out some gravel and I lifted the blade up and when I went to put it back down it wouldn't go down. I went out to see if it would work today and when I started it up the blade went all the way up and down about 4 times then when I moved the blade up it wouldnt go down again. However when I shut the tractor off I can put the blade down. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I think I figured it out, when I got on and off the tractor I managed to kick the rate of drop valve under the seat. I turned it and the 3 point works again.

You're not the 1st person & probably won't be the last to close the R-O-D screw on a JD utility of that era. I glad you got it sorted out.Jim
