Hello, I have a 2004 John Deere 110 backhoe that suddenly will not crank or start. I started it just fine early this morning as always (it's typically an amazingly easy machine to start). This afternoon when I got home and tried to start it, I pressed the key in to light up the glow plugs as I usually do, the instrument cluster flashed and then went totally dead. Now when I turn the key, press the key, whatever, it does absolutely nothing. No clicking sound, nothing at all. I opened up the plastic cover to expose all of the plugs and took out the key switch. I checked for continuity on all of the terminals according to the factory service manual (bought it at the dealer when I bought the machine used), and everything on the key switch checks out just fine in every position. I checked battery voltage, 12.48 volts. Checked voltage on the wiring harness going to the key switch and it has around the same 12.48 volts. Made sure my pto switch wasn't engaged. Checked voltage going to the starter, same voltage. That reaches the limit of my pay grade. Not sure where else to turn from here. Should I check a solenoid somewhere? Or fuses or relays? Any help would be immensely appreciated. Thank you.
